ID1 form

What is an ID1 Form?

Before the Land Registry will action the transfer, they require that a professional person has identified the individual. This is where ID1 forms come in.

You will need to take this form to a solicitor or Notary along with:

  1. your passport / driving licence

  2. a proof of address

  3. a passport size photo

The notary will then check your ID and then fill out and sign the ID1 form. This can then be sent to the Land Registry.

Traditionally, these would be carried out by the local solicitor and notaries carried out international work. However, solicitors have started to charge significantly more over the years, with some firms charging a minimum of £600.

This is where I can help!

I charge a fixed fee of £100 to notarise an ID1 form. I do not charge VAT.
